• Hummingbirds have very strong memory.They can keep track of the flowers and routes which they have to use for migrating.Their brain is also big as compared to proportion of their body. 
• Hummingbirds can see all the colors and they can also process ultraviolet light which make their vision very strong.They also have third eye lid which is also know as nictitating. This is a transparent layer on the eyes which helps the bird during flight.

• Hummingbirds beaks are used as a weapon for hunting and protecting themselves from attackers.
• Hummingbirds tongue is like a fork in the past it was believed that tongue is like a straw.
• Hummingbirds can fly in all directions with great precision .Their wings can beat 70 - 200 time per second depending on the species.
• Hummingbirds are very fast in their work which gives them super metabolism rate.
• Hummingbirds birds feed very frequently because they need a lot of energy for completing the task.

• Hummingbirds stores fat in the body before migrating to other places.Fat energy is used during the journey. 
• Hummingbirds build nests in high trees.Their clutch size is usually two.
• Hummingbirds comes in different sizes some of them are very small and used as a food by the dragon flies, frogs,spiders etc.
